We started out through the millions of cornfields and farms. We finally arrived at the Field of Dreams. I shopped but didn’t buy [it was expensive]. We met outside of the house to wait. We waited. [And waited some more.] Finally, a huge group of almost 70-80 old people came out of the tiny house. The tour guide was wearing a full on old school baseball uniform. It was interesting because we were in the house. Oh, he also wasn’t wearing shoes. We followed the tour guide into the house. He told everyone to take off their shoes or wear these weird shoe cover things. I thought to myself, How did the old people bend down and do that? Some were better shape than others and I can see… but… [crickets]. I resolved that they had the little slip-on shoes like Abuela and Great Gram have. Or as Abuela would say, “The good kind with arch support, too.” The tour was good and long. I don’t know what he was talking about because I haven’t seen the movie, but everyone else thought it was good. I was afraid he was going to call on me to answer some question. He was talking about history of the house and called on Jett. He said, “About how old this kid is over here” and pointed to Jett. I have no idea how old he thought he was because Jett looks way younger than he is. [Later on Yogi Bear thought he was a little kid, but he was acting like one, so…] For all I know the tour guide could have thought he was 5! Oh well. We moved around the house in our socks and were done. Thankfully I wore my favorite pink polka dotted socks. [Thank you, Miss Ashlyn!]
We moved outside and took pictures on the porch and lawn. Momma made me sit on the porch swing. It was surprisingly comfy. Slowly, and slowly, we made our way over to the Field of Dreams. Daddy played catch with Jett while Momma and I sat on the bleachers. Apparently it was the same place Susie or Molly or whoever the characters were sat in the movie. (IDK…remember I haven’t watched the movie… I just took a few steps up and sat.) After awhile a game was sort of going. Jett was a “noob” as he would say. He doesn’t think he is but kind of is when it comes to baseball. He got better the more they played. Daddy was SUPERgood! He pitched and Jett was on first base [which was questionable]. He was standing on top of the base. Several kids tripped trying to touch it. Momma yelled at him to “quit standing on the bag!” And then some 5 year-old kid wearing a yellow and black outfit with mismatched crocs [one was black and one was yellow] tried to be cool and yelled, “Yeah, get off the BAG, BRO!” We all laughed! It was fun. All I could see, other than the field, was CORN.
When we got home, [RV home], we rested and ate. After we went to the lake/pond. There were FISH! It was pretty nasty water! The water was warm, almost like the water was heated. [Probably from fish pee] YUCKY! The obstacle course on the lake was far from the shore so we had to swim in the pretty nasty water to get there. All 4 Js raced through the obstacle course. We fell. A lot. I tried to go slow in one spot and fell hard. I hurt my shoulder and elbow, but I am better now. Jett and Momma raced a whole bunch. I raced, too, but fell on my first obstacle. It didn’t look good for me. But I made it through and even won a race. “YAY YAY YAY!” as Great Gram would say. Overall it was fun, other than falling. Daddy also got footage from the drone. [Momma posted it on facebook if you care to watch it.]
We came home. The drain wasn’t draining! Turns out the gray tank was full! If you don’t know what that is, it’s one of the places your shower and sink water goes. But don’t worry about it. So back to the draining… it wasn’t! Momma called daddy who was playing b-ball with Jett. [Basketball this time, not baseball. A lot of “b” sports, I know.] Daddy forgot to bring his phone with him… or watch… or walky-talky… or anyway to COMMUNICATE! So, we waited, and waited, thinking they would come. Momma hopped on her bike to get them right as they were coming back. Nice timing, guys. [sarcasm] Anyway, we got it all fixed and everyone was happy. [YAY YAY YAY!] Crazy day today! More to come! As Jett would say from his Youtube watching, “SMASH that like button and Subscribe.” Thanks for reading. Stay up to date with our crazy adventures! Bunny girl out.
