We first visited the visitor center and started on the Junior Ranger book. We also watched the film in the movie room. A lot of the activities required us to go to a lot of different places. We paused and shopped a little. Then Kenzie and Tony came! We said, “hi” [and everything] then piled into the truck. We did a few hikes and went to this farm [Chellberg Farm]. Soon we had finished the Junior Ranger book! We drove back to the visitor center and got our badges. Ranger Brittney led us in the pledge. The badges were the cool wooden ones! I put mine on and Jett did the same.

We piled back in and drove into the other part of the park. There was a fun grill with very good pretzel sticks and pizza. Jett and I climbed the sand dune. There was a cool view from the top. You could see all the beach. Sadly, it was a “no swim” day, but on the side covered by the sand dune I counted over 50 people swimming! The waves were hugemungus and kids were swimming in it! I ran back down the dune and collected a bunch of sand, a cup, like 8 OUNCES in my shoes. If you don’t believe me, ask the eyewitnesses from that day. It was crazy. Then Jett dumped out a whole gallon from his shoes. [maybe that was a little exaggerated] I had a cup, Jett had 2 cups 16 OUNCES. AFTER we poured out all the sand, we hiked another trail. I found a lot of mushrooms and a few wild blueberries and blackberries. When we finished, we all said goodbye and returned to our cars. Fun Day!
