Jett’s Wild Flight: Blue Ridge Mountains
By: Jett Lillie, 10/3/22
Hello Everyone! Welcome to one of my favorite National parks… wait, wait, wait. First, we have to get there! We woke up kind of early and started our long 2 hour Journey to…drum roll please… SHENANDOAH NATIONAL PARK!

It’s an awesome park with the famous Blue Ridge Mountains. We pulled up to the Visitor’s Center and earned our 49th Jr. Ranger badge. I also got a cool sweatshirt.

After that we hiked and bouldered to a waterfall and took lots of pictures.

After we drove around the large park and saw some lookouts and got amazing pictures.

I learned that my hand is as big as an average Black Bear’s paw at Shenandoah! Cool, right?
Jaycie’s Bunny Hoppin’ News: Colonial Williamsburg

We drove 1 hour to get there! On the way I played a little animal crossing and Jett did, too. When we got there we visited the Visitor’s/Welcome Center where we paid for some little badges that allowed us to go into the historical places. We first went on a tour of the Governor’s Palace. It wasn’t a huge castle, but it was more like a mansion or huge house. But in colonial times it was considered a palace

These swords represented wealth and power of the British. The colonial town of Williamsburg (capitol of the colonies) considered them “More British than the British.”

There were a lot of trades. The trades people had shops you could go into.

Here's me in the Silversmith shop.

My favorite shop was the dress shop! The dresses were so different.

They also didn’t have a jail. Instead, they usually made the offender pay a fine or sometimes (rarely), hanged. We saw a lot of buildings. Some of the houses were private residents. There was also a carriage with horses.

After a day of fun, we road home in the rain.

Beautiful pictures
